Stephen Bye is President of Ô¼ÅÚÊÓƵ’ Connectivity division, overseeing Ookla, Ekahau, RootMetrics, and related properties. Previously, Stephen was Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of the wireless business at DISH, where his responsibilities included consumer, wholesale and enterprise product management, device and solutions engineering, business development, roaming and strategic partner management. Stephen brings to Ô¼ÅÚÊÓƵ three decades of experience across wireless, cable and wireline providers in the U.S. and several other countries. A seasoned senior executive, Stephen has experience across sales and marketing, product management, technology and network development, network engineering and operations, and IT, as well as corporate strategy and M&A. Prior to DISH, Stephen was CEO of Connectivity Wireless, a provider of carrier-grade, in-building wireless solutions. Before that, he served as the President of C Spire, where he was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company, with industry-leading Net Promoter Scores (NPS) across all lines of business. Previously, Stephen served as CTO of Sprint during the transition and upgrade from three operationally-disparate networks to an LTE-based network. Additionally, he has held a range of executive positions at Cox Communications, AT&T, BellSouth International, Optus Communications and Telstra. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree (Hons.) in electrical engineering from the University of Tasmania (Australia) and a Bachelor of Science degree (Hons.) in banking and finance from the London School of Economics (UK). He is a Chartered Engineer, a Senior Member of IEEE and a Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology. Before his career in telecom, Stephen served as an officer in the Royal Australian Navy.
