Ô¼ÅÚÊÓƵ recognizes the importance of giving back to the communities where we live and work. Through our ZD Cares program, we enable employees to organize their own volunteering events and sign up for others (virtual or in-person), and provide a platform for employees’ charitable giving. Our program includes:

  • Volunteer Time Off for all eligible full-time and part-time employees are eligible for 8-16 hours annually of paid time off to volunteer with organizations they choose.
  • Providing employees with up to $500 annual charitable matching gift from Ô¼ÅÚÊÓƵ for participating in our charitable programs:
    • Donations by Doing: Employees earn donation dollars from Ô¼ÅÚÊÓƵ for every hour they volunteer their time.
    • Charitable Matching: Ô¼ÅÚÊÓƵ matches employees’ charitable donations dollar-for-dollar.

Taking Action Through Volunteerism

Ô¼ÅÚÊÓƵ is committed to having a positive impact on the communities where we live and work by encouraging our employees to volunteer with local organizations making a difference. Volunteer efforts led by our businesses include:

  • Ô¼ÅÚÊÓƵ employees organized a book drive powered by our partner, Visit.org, with over 130 books donated to Planting People Growing Justice Leadership Institute.
  • Castle Connolly team members held their 2023 Volunteer Day which included New York-based team members spending the day at the Afya Foundation, where they sorted vital medical supplies to be shipped to Maui and Ukraine. Our Columbus team spent the day volunteering at a local food bank in Ohio and our remote team members joined the effort by creating heartfelt cards for Project Smile AZ.
  • Technology, Shopping, and Gaming & Entertainment employees volunteered with the Austin Humane Society to help with shelter improvement tasks including cleaning kennels, assisting with laundry, and preparing supplies for the animals.
  • Ookla team members volunteered at the Magicians Making Moves Graduate Fair at LeMoyne-Owen College, a Historically Black College in Memphis. Employees shared with the future graduate students what Ookla is, what it does, and offered advice to help them excel in their careers.
  • IGN employees in Los Angeles volunteered at No Us Without You, helping to package and distribute food to undocumented immigrants. Additionally, San Francisco-based IGN employees volunteered with the Golden Gate National Park Service to remove Cape Ivy, an invasive weed.
  • VIPRE employees from the Client Success team took advantage of their volunteer time to participate in a beach cleanup in Florida. With buckets, gloves, safety vests, and trash grabbers in hand, they set out to clean the beach with Keep Pinellas Beautiful.

In 2023, Ô¼ÅÚÊÓƵ pledged approximately $1.3 million in ad space via our Employee Resource Groups to nonprofits aligned with their missions. Recipient organizations included Sandy Hook Promise, Cxmmunity Gaming, Stop AAPI Hate, and The Trevor Project. Ô¼ÅÚÊÓƵ properties ran pro bono ad campaigns for NAACP and Sandy Hook Promise. Additionally, Ô¼ÅÚÊÓƵ participates in #BankBlack, with $10 million deposited in Black-owned banks and credit unions, to help the institutions originate loans that foster economic opportunity within underserved Black communities.

Ô¼ÅÚÊÓƵ acts to combat racism and inequality, support climate change and sustainability efforts, and help those impacted by crisis and natural disasters by using our platforms to support organizations and causes in the many communities we serve. Below are some of our initiatives.

Humble Funds Diverse Charities

A portion of every bundle, store game and subscription sale by is donated to charity. To date, the Humble Community has raised over $250 million for charities. In 2023, Humble helped raise $14.4million in support of 7,500 charities championing diverse causes including climate change, health, education, antidiscrimination, disaster relief, and racial equity, including raising $373,000 to support girls’ education during Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day and $3.7 million with its Türkiye-Syria Earthquake Relief bundle.

continues its public education campaign, , featuring a collection of information and stories to increase awareness of inequities in health and healthcare among Black Americans, influencing change, and providing a destination for finding help. In June 2023, highlighted people who are working to change that and who are inspiring other Black Americans to find joy in the outdoors.

Ookla Improves Internet Accessibility for Everyone

The initiative was established by to provide data, analysis, and content to organizations seeking to improve people’s lives through internet accessibility. Ookla for Good has partnered with numerous organizations, local governments, and universities in the U.S. and globally, including the Inter-American Development Bank, World Bank, International Monetary Fund, United Nations Development Programme, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, University of California at Santa Barbara, Data Science Institute at the University of Chicago, Mapbox, and University of Oxford.

Black Game Developer Fund Supports Creators

±á³Ü³¾²ú±ô±ð’s is a $1 million annual program focused on elevating diverse voices in the game industry and helping achieve equity for Black game creators. The program offers Black game developers funding and ongoing guidance around the development and marketing of their games, as well as a potential opportunity for being published by Humble. To date, the fund has supported over 40 development teams across the globe. In 2023, they launched Protodroid DeLTA developed by Adam Kareem, an early-stage Fund participant.

What to Expect Highlights Urgency for Equitable & Accessible Maternal Healthcare

What to Expect held its 7th annual #BumpDay social media campaign celebrating healthy pregnancies and raising awareness about the urgent need for more equitable, accessible maternal healthcare. In the United States, more than 800 women die of pregnancy-related causes annually, with Black, Alaska Native, and Native American moms making up a disproportionate number of them. In 2023, the was selected for two honors at the Anthem Awards, which celebrate purpose and mission driven work.

BabyCenter Raises Awareness of Maternal Mental Health

’s #WeSeeYou campaign to raise awareness of maternal mental health and provide resources for moms struggling with postpartum depression and anxiety. The #WeSeeYou initiative was available with localized content and messaging in five languages to support moms across nine sites (Australia, Brazil, Canada, Germany, India, Latin America, UK, U.S., and Saudi Arabia). The campaign included social media posts, targeted emails, and BabyCenter community posts to reach millions of pregnant women and new moms worldwide.

Human Rights and Equality Initiatives

Ô¼ÅÚÊÓƵ is proud to support initiatives and causes that embody our DEI values, including:

Ô¼ÅÚÊÓƵ is a proud member of the Business Coalition for the Equality Act, a coalition of more than 500 U.S.-based companies organized by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) to support the passage of federal legislation that would provide the same basic protections to 2SLGBTQIA+ people as are provided to other protected groups under federal law.

Ô¼ÅÚÊÓƵ is part of Don’t Ban Equality, a group of companies that advocate for unrestricted access to comprehensive reproductive care.

Ô¼ÅÚÊÓƵ actively supports equal rights and protections for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community by signing on to Human Rights Campaign (HRC) initiatives, including:

  • “Count Us In” pledge, which brings businesses together in allyship for the LGBTQ+ community, while sending a powerful message to extremist lawmakers advancing anti-LGBTQ+ legislation that equality for all is not negotiable.
